Giant sceening vs MS sceening

I just moved over to MS as my Giant contract ended. Every day for the last
year I scanned out 4 to 12 threats, mostly cookies but many serious threats,
during my evening scan. I now am not getting any threats on my evening scan.
Is MS that much more efficient in screening out threats that they never hit
my machine or is the product not working? I am concerned. In other words, why
am I not getting any threats since I loaded MS and removed Giant? If you have
some insights, I would appreciate it.

Cookies are not a severe threat as they contain no code, they are just
strings of text and numbers, They are more a privacy concern than a spyware
threat, You can clear cookies by going to tools on the top bar then Internet
Options then press "Delete Cookies", The Alternative is to use Spybot Search
& Destroy or Adaware SE as they will remove cookies, MSAS in its current form
doesnt scan for cookies but it may be added at some stªge.

The Microsoft product does not screen for cookies. Otherwise, I believe it
should detect the same range of items Giant did, but I can't be sure.

If you want to screen for cookies based on some criteria, I'd use Lavasoft's
ad-aware.
