ghosted image

I ghosted an image from a computer running Windows 2000
Server, but when I move it to a different computer I get a
blue screen with the message "incaccesibl_boot_device". I
thought it was realted to the SCSI RAID controller on this
comptuer, since I needed the RAID controller drivers to
install Windows 2000. So I installed a vanilla version of
Windows 2000 Server to another directory and updated the
RAID controller, but no change. I did not run anything on
the original server prior to running Ghost, i.e. Sysprep.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You are correct that the problem is related to a difference in the mass
storage controllers between the two machines. The best way to do this is to
use Sysprep prior to making your ghost image. Before running Sysprep you
need to create a sysprep.inf file and populate the [SysprepMassStorage]
section with the location of the mass storage controller to use on the
target system. Be aware that Sysprep will disjoin your imaged server from
the domain. There are sample sysprep.inf files in the deploy.cab file that
comes with your Windows 2000installation source.
