Ghost9 v2i console

I know that this is OT but cannot find any other place to ask
I have been to symantec but didn't find any answers there.
my question is this : when I open Norton ghost ver 9, I am
confronted by an error message which only says the minimal,
" norton ghost management has encountered a problem and has to close"
It will not open the V2i console, to open I have to navigate to the symantec
programs folder and click onto the V2i console icon to start the program, I
have
placed an Icon onto the start column, to bypass the error message, it is not
a
real problem,but it should have an answer,this will not go away,even after a
remove and re-install,
any help with this please

Unfortunately - whether or not you found help at Symantec - that is your
best place for accurate and complete help. Did you just search their FAQs -
or did you atually contact someone at Symantec?

Try the Radified Community Forums at

people there. The top board listed is for Ghost down to v9; you can read
back over previous postings or register to post your own specific questions.

You might also want to look in your computer's Event Logs for any entries at
the time of your console failures: Start > Run > eventvwr.msc

OnlyMe,

I'm using Norton Ghost 10. It runs as a service, not a desktop application.
I don't remember if Ghost 9 is the same. But if it is, you might take a look
at it's service and see if it's on. You should be able to find it at Control
Panel/Administrative Tools/Services.

Also, in case you don't have the Ghost 9 manual, I can access my Ghost 10
manual from Help & Support/Norton Ghost Help, on the main window. Or your
Ghost 9 manual should be somewhere in the program files. Try checking trouble
codes there.
