Ghost Images of Title Bar

I've lately had several issues of a window's title bar remaining on my screen
after the window is gone. It happens randomly, with no particular type of
window. They stay there until I re-boot. Very annoying. Does anyone know of a
way to remove these other than re-booting?

Try the F5 key, or right-click the Desktop, click "Refresh". To prevent
this, you might need to update the video card drivers, with drivers from
the computer OEM site, not an MS-updated driver.. they're usually
generic drivers that can give you the results you're seeing.

Also try this, as a test: Try lowering graphics hardware acceleration
slide. You can lower graphics hardware acceleration in Display
Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this
helps, you probably need a different graphics card or drivers.

It's also possible that I'm way off-base on the cause of this; there
might be so many processes running that the display refresh is
ignored/dropped. In that case, maybe you should check for malware.

It's also possible you don't have enough RAM. You might go to
Crucial.com and check out what's available for your system.
