Getting Updates for Non Internet Connected Machines

D

Don

Is there a way to get updates for machines that are not, and cannot be,
connected to the internet? We have several machines that can not be
connected, but I would like to install the latest service packs:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...cf-8850-4531-b52b-bf28b324c662&DisplayLang=en

and installer:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...70-B259-4733-A914-A956122E08E8&displaylang=en

Both want to do the validation and install process. However the machine I
am accessing the sites with is not the one I want to install the updates on.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,

Those download links doesn't force you to install the updates there and
then, just save the exe file to disk instead, and then put them on e.g.
a CD or USB stick later on.

Also, I suggest you download the latest Windows Installer instead (3.1 v2):

What if the machine on the internet is a Win XP box and I am trying to
download a Win 2000 update?

Thanks for the link!

When using direct download links like those in our previous posts
in this thread, it doesn't matter what OS you use when downloading
the updates.

Here is one more:

If you need SP4 for Win2k, you can download it from here:
