Getting suspend to ram to work on an Epox 8RGA+

D

Daniel Prince

I can not seem to get suspend-to-ram to work on my system (Epox 8RGA+
with a Barton 2500+). It seems to suspend correctly but when it wakes
up the screen stays blank. This is with both Windows 98 SE and Windows
XP Home (I just installed XP).

How can I get suspend-to-ram to work on my system? Thank you in advance
for all replies.

Hi,

Sometimes, it simply won't work. The suspend to ram, or hibernate function,
requires driver support from *all* components to run properly. Frequently,
with desktop units, this is not possible. The solution may be to reduce the
power-down state, but then again the solution may be to not use this
function at all. The fact that it doesn't work under either OS is a pretty
strong indication that this is a hardware issue, and it may simply end at
that.
