Unable to Use Standby or Hibernate

I have set up my network to wake on Lan but would also like to suspend all computers to ram when not in use. I previously could suspend to ram so I know it works however after networking and before setting up wake on lan my system would fail to suspend. Is it possible to enable wake on lan and suspend to ram at the same time? Any ideas as to the suspend / hibernation failure?

Thanks I've tried all that. My problem is different in that I can suspend manualy (by pressing sleep or start / turn off computer / suspend) but the computer won't suspend automaticly as set in Power options.

I've the EXACT same problem and am also looking for a
solution. My machine can manually be placed into standby
without incident. But, every morning I used to wake up to
a "sleeping" computer in standby mode...now it is ON and
not asleep. My problem is intermitant. 10% of the time it
does go standby at some point, but 90% it does not. I'll
keep digging and monitoring this thread. If I solve
anything, I'll post it here.
