Getting rid of ****

I used *** [enter] to mark a spot in my Word document. It created a dotted
line all the way across the page. Now I cannot seem to delete it. How do I
rid my document of this??

You have inadvertently activated the autocorrect facility for a paragraph
border. Click on the blank line above the dotted line and click on Format >
Borders and Shading. Click the NONE box on the left hand side, click OK and
the border should be removed. If you don't want this to happen in future,
click on Tools > AutoCorrect, click on the AutoFormat As You Type section and
remove the tick from the Border box at the top of the window.

Thanks. It worked! I had used it before and never had a problem deleting it.
