getting rid of hard stops in MS Word

I often have to format resumes, and when I cut and paste them into our
company's letterhead, the original text often does not fill up the line space
in the new document. So I have to manually go to the end of each line of
text in a row and hit the "delete" key so the other line will fill up the
row.

Is there an automated way of doing this so I don't have to do this row by row?

Thx,
