Getting rid of a line

I produced a line in Word by entering --- followed by Return. Now I can't get rid of it. Any suggestions?

It is a paragraph border created by AutoFormatAsYouType settings.

Format>Borders and Shading>Borders. Click the "none" pane on the left hand
side.
