Getting error message

I'm getting this error message:

Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.

I've seen knowledge base articles but they pertain to starting Word. This
problem happens when I do an edit copy or control/C...but not all of the time.
