I recently had to restore my computer to factory settings. I set up my DSL
and router just like always, but I keep having problems with the internet
explorer. Many times when I hit my back arrows, or if I click on a link, the
box to dialup to a connection will appear. I have to close that window,
refresh, hit connect and then I can keep browsing for awhile. Within minutes
it happens again. What is odd is that it is not my internet connection
persay. I can connect to online games that do not require the IE and play for
hours. Does anyone have an idea why this keeps happening? I've tried
reinstalling everything I could think of, re-configuring my router numerous
times, turning the modem off, etc. Nothing seems to help though.
