getting "//desktop is not accessible....." on when accessing share

Hi, I just set up this little network with two computers on it which are
sharing an internet connection through the router, now everything works fine
and dandy and on computer1 I can access shared files on computer2's hd, but
when I try and access a shared folder on computer1 it says "//desktop is not
accessible....have the administrator check the permissions" I'm running xp on
both of them. Anyone else run into this or know what I'm doing wrong? I just
shared the folder by right clicking it and putting the checkmark in the
"share this folder on the network" box. Thanks for your time.
