Getting avi Thumbnails

The Old Fart

When I have folder view set to display thumbnails I notice that there
isn't thumbnails for any of my AVI files despite the fact that I have
any number of programs on the PC that can play AVI files. Is this
normal or can I fix this?
 
Type or paste the following line into the Start | Run box and click OK...

REGSVR32 SHMEDIA.DLL

from...
Thumbnail image not generated for Video files in Windows XP

SHMEDIA.DLL is the Media File Property Extractor Shell Extension and it
needs to be reregistered in the registry.
