Getting Administrator Error message?????

I have had the Home Edition of XP on my computer for 6 months and have had
no problems installing hardware or softwear until today when I got the
following error message:

"You do not have access to make the required system configuration
modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrators
account."

I don't know what to do here as this is my home computer and I am the only
user---ever. I am listed as the administrator and there are no other user
accounts set up. I am trying to install the drivers for a digital game card
which I used with no problems for years under Windows 98 SE.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hey Truth, do you get this on all downloads being installed?? I ask because
I only get it on downloads from one company, JASC. I have 4 d/l's from
them on hold for the same reason------ROY

No, I've installed tons of stuff, and this is the first time this has
happened. This is the driver for a dinosaur piece of hardware. I guess this
is the reason for the problem.
