I'm getting this same problem as well and it's been
giving me a headache for about a month now also, and
seems to be getting worse, it's incredibly annoying.

I also have started enjoying the BSOD recently. I even
went through the joy of doing a reformat/reinstall.

I thought I had fixed the probelm by uninstalling my
scanner, but that was a short lived fix. Then only thing
that I had changed in my whole setup, was the addition of
a serial ATA drive.

I actually purchased a tool from www.alexander.com, which
requires PayPal, that captures the crash in all its
details, and many of the Device Driver issues involve many
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f) and
KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (8e) based on the SPK
tool mentioned.

I would run sigverif from the Start menu to see if any of
the systems have unsigned files.

If I can figure my system out, I will come back and post.
