Get rid of Startup items

WOW! I just cleaned out my startup items and task bar items. My computer
now starts up FAST! Pow! Zam!

I find that judicious use of services.msc and the startup control panel
tool at <http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml> to be very effective at
improving speed in computers. Also helps to keep any and all software
by Symantec, Aol, and McCaffee off your system (I've worked on computers
before where the complaint was that it was very slow, and all I had to
do to improve the speed and overall performance was to uninstall AoHell).

NO kidding. Those three can just suck the life out of a computer. I do use
Norton Utilities on occasion, but I have eliminated many of the files and do
not let it start up on its own. Had to tame it.
