Get Rid Of Password Box at Startup in 98...

I would like to get rid of the startup box asking for the
password at Win98 startup. I don't need to use it any
longer.

go to control panel/users and password. On the user page,
select administrator, then uncheck the users must enter a
user name, OK

As I recall that's for win2K not win98 which he's asking about (in the
wrong group).

For win98 (again, as I recall .... it's been a while) you have to set
the primary logon as "Windows Logon" and then enter a null password.
Better yet, re-post the message in microsoft.public.win98.setup and
someone there will give a definitive answer.
