get rid of file winmail.dat

Help please!!!

Every time I send an email, MS Outlook always inserts the
following attachment file to my outgoing email:

winmail.dat

Does anyone know how to get rid of this action from MS
Outlook??

I woud appreciate if you and forward the answer to my
email: (e-mail address removed)

THis happens sporadically whether we send in Plain text
or in HTML. No computer in our office uses the *%*&% RTF
format.

Attachments do not arrive to abouit 20% of the time, they
are either stripped or converted to winmail.dat

You're using RTF formatted messages - change it to plain text or HTML and
you should lose the winmail.dat files. Look in tools, options, mail format.
