this error came up

Generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs
to close.

what should I do???

I had this fault and it drove me nuts. I tried everything to no avail.
The problem was that apart from SP2 I had never installed any of the
many updates. I did all the updates including Explorer 7 and have
never had any problems since.
