Generic host process for win32 services error message

Hello there,
I have recently loaded (clean install) Windows XP Home w/SP2 on a customers
computer, it's an OEM DELL DIMENSION DESKTOP 4400 PC. It has 512 mb of
crucial memory, Intel P4 1.6 gig processor, maxtor 40 gig hard drive, ati
rage pro ultra video card, on board sound, liteon cdrw. Software running on
machine is as follows, Microsoft office 2000, Netsupport client manager,
Trend Microcillin internet security 2005 (only anti-virus portion running),
has a HP Laserjet 4100 printer and seiko lable printer series 100 connected
to it. Side note there are 2 other identical machines in the office and
neither one of them had any problems nor do they today.

Each and every time I load the machine when it is through loading and comes
on for the first time I receive the "Generic host process for win32 services
error message. I have updated video drivers to the latest according to
Dell's site, it has the latest Bios again updated from Dell's site. I have
tried everything I can think of to resolve this problem with no luck. I am
now asking for some advice suggestions help etc... in resolving this issue.
I can forward the application and system log files if provided an email
address. The message is getting kicked out with them included.

I look forward to hearing some feedback and hopefully a resolution to the
problem.

I am also getting this error message frequently(not every time). I also
observed that this has come up only after i installed SP2.

Well obviously I'm not the only one having this same problem. I have a DELL
Demension 4700 that came with Windows XP Home Edition SP2. My system is only
about a month old and I have been having this error since I set up the
computer. The error does not occur every time I start up the computer.

One option is to try some clean boot troubleshooting to see if you can

Rock I appreciate your input and suggestions. Unfortunately I have already
done those, in safe mode it starts flawlessly no error messages, disable
everything in startup using the msconfig utility and still get the error
message, disable all non-microsoft services again still get error message. I
am stumped and have probably spent the better part of 10 hours trying to
figure it out. To include emailing a Microsoft Rep. directly back and forth.
Any more suggestions or ideas?

Disable the MS services one at a time is all I can suggest. Since it's
ok in safe mode, it must be one of those that's disabled in safe mode
but started in normal mode.

You can't just go haphazardly disabling services like that. If you disable
the wrong ones, you could prevent Windows from being able to update, print,
or connect to the internet.

Well of course you research what each one does before you disable a
particular one, but that's where system backups come in, and using the
recovery console to enable/disable services. Use your head.
