generic host process for win32 error

i have tried to manually windows updates and still comes up when i start the
computer. wont let me do windows updates. if i click on the send error report
or dont send it locks up. is there a fix for this. i think i happened when
aol said i have mail, but not sure.
i have installed kb873333 and kb894391 and still nothing.
