Generate PPT without Powerpoint ...

Martin

Hi there,

I am looking for a tool that allows me automatically to generate a
Powerpoint presentation without using Powerpoint itself.

The background: I'd like to batch convert some 50 image files into a
..ppt presentation, but I don't want to use Powerpoint itself (I
realize that there are plugins to do it within Powerpoint).

Any idea or tools will be appreciated.

Please help.

Thanks
Martin

You can use other products that create photo slide shows. Use google.com to
search for "photo slide show". However, if you want a PowerPoint slide show
you'll have to use the Microsoft PowerPoint application.

You'd have to reverse engineer the PPT file format then write your own
application to create PPT files. MS doesn't release the format.

You might also be able to save a PPT file out to MHT (web page, single file
format) then study the MHT. Recent versions of PPT will be able to open
those.

update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for

Hello Martin,

As other have indicated, this is not possible without PowerPoint (since we
do not publish our file format).

I'm curious as to why you wish to do this without PowerPoint when it's very
simple to do with PowerPoint?
