Browser hijackers, pop-ups, and now I get a reminder to
contact Microsoft because my current version expires July
31, 2005.

I'm not complaining, it just seems that more time will be
needed to sort out the little problems going on.

Will a new update be released?

July is a long way off...we hope. The consensus is that there will be
updates 'tween now and July.
