General backup option in MS Word 2003 for all documents?

I would like to know if there is a general backup option for all my documents
in MS Word 2003, instead of ticking 'Always create backup copy' all the time
for each single document?

That setting should be for all documents. If it doesn't stay set,
something is interfering with saving your settings -- usually a
misbehaving add-in.

If you can't find the source of that problem, you can use the macro
from http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm instead.
