Geforce 5200 garbles plasma screen after upgrade

Hi
Beginning to get desperate now. I upgraded my MCE computer couple of days
ago. Only kept TV-card, audio-card and graphics card. Everything ran fine
until I switched from the little 15 inch screen I used for setup and tuning
and connected my 42" plasma upstairs.

I can see the computer startup BIOS sequence, I can see the Windows VGA mode
startup screen, but when the Windows desktop loads the screen gets all
garbled with areas either black or with horisontal mostly white stripes.

I have tried all possible (?) settings for the graphics card (a Geforce
5200) with different nVidia driver versions, but they all give similar
results. I don't have any more ideas, why does the card not work in the new
computer as it did in the old one?? What am I missing here?

Did you remember to install the motherboard chipset utilities drivers
package?

They are the files which tell Windows exactly what hardware is on your
particular motherboard and install the correct drivers for them.... ie the
onboard sound, the onboard ethernet, the AGP or PCI-E slot, the IDE
controller, SATA controller and anything else that you might have.
