Lately I have been getting garbled sound when I play back
my mp3 and wave files. Even the little jingle for
Microsoft that plays when XP starts up or shuts down is
distorted. The distorted music is there regardless of the
player that I choose. (example: Windows Media Player,
Sony Sonic Stage, QCD Player.

I am using a Sony Vaio laptop/900 MHz AMD Duron (tm)
Processor/256MB of RAM/XP OS/

Sound familiar? I've had this before on other PCs. How do
I fix it?

In addition to responding to the group, please send your
answer directly to my e-mail box. (e-mail address removed)

Thanks in advance
