Garbled screen while using MS-Word

Ranjit

Hi,

I am having this strange problems since I got my AGP card last year.
I have a Sapphire Radeon 9000 atlantis pro.
It works fine and hardly gives any problems to me (I play a lot of games),
unless I am using Microsoft Word.
When I am working on my word documents, within 15 mins or so, my screen gets
garbled and the only way out is to restart. I do work on other office
applications (outlook, excel) but the problem seems to crop up only with
MS-Word, consistently.
Uninstalling and re installing new drivers has not helped either.
Can someone please help me out with this one?

Following are the driver details:
Provider: ATI Technologies Inc.
Date: 3/3/2004
Version: 6.14.10.6430

My settings:
1152 x 864, 32 bit color, 60 Hz .

TIA,

-Ranjit

when this happens are you opening a template (.dot)
If so delete the one that causes it, word will rebuild it.

Most of the times I am editing a file that already exists.
I hardly start from a blank or a templete file.

Also, if i keep reading the document, it's not a problem.
Only when I am working on it and constantly saving it, the problem arises.

Thanks,

Ranjit

3- things:
What OS you're using?
More complete system specs..?
Could be fast-write is enabled?

Try to use 75Hz or 85Hz refresh rate. Even if than mean lowering the
resolution.

Hi Guys,

Thanx for all the feedback.
I tried downloading the new drivers from the ATI site and the problem as of
now seems to have been solved.
Thanks Asestar and JAD for the help.
