Games and display problem

When running older games in win xp (that ran fine in win
98) When starting the games the display will flash back
and forth from desktop to game several times while trying
to load the game and somtimes the game will run and the
desktop will show until I alt tab to the game and then it
will display. any ideas?

You may need a different Graphics Driver. Go to www.rage3d.com if
you have a ATI card. Go here www.guru3d.com if you have Nvidia. If neither
go to the Manufacturer of the Motherboards site and see what they have.

Is this happening even after you "adjusted" each game with the
"Compatibility Wizard" and saved the settings?
