And the international version drivers that do install suck as far as I'm
concerned.

I have an Installation Problem with the NVIDIA U.S.A. English X64 RTM
Driver's, Just FYI.

English-only version installation problem aside (see "New nVidia RTM only
drivers (5 January 2007)" thread below), I didn't notice anything that would
qualify for "suck" badge.

What I've noticed however is that very annoying screen flickering that I was
experiencing every now and then with my 7600GT, is finally gone!

Oh, and new nVIDIA Control Panel is kind of nice too.

The International Driver worked great (slow install process, however, took
at least 2-3 minutes to install), thank you for the work around, Just FYI.

Mr. Vista

So do you recommend installing this driver A.S.?

I was setting up Speedfan so I ran Video Card Stability Test v1.0.0.2 and
got a Benchmark of 439. That seemed kind of low, so I booted into XP and
ran the same test. The Benchmark score was 1287.
That's quite a difference, and my performance score in Vista is 5.9 using a
6800gs card.
I must say though that the rest of the system suffered in XP when running
the test, whereas vista hardly flinched. This is not a valid comparison some
would say, but I found it interesting nevertheless.

I'd say, if you have any problems that you can even remotely blame your
current driver for, go ahead and update to 97.46. If not, I'd stay with
whatever version you have currently installed, since 97.46 seems to be
slowing down gaming graphics a bit (see "ForceWare x64 97.46 - Performance
problem?" thread).
