Fussy attacks are going too far

Good advice, but what about new readers - what impression do they get
from this group? Me thinks those few poster that keep attacking Fussy
do this group a great disservice by the language and tone they use. A
new reader not familiar with the context, their reasons for doing so
(what ever they are), will most likely be put off right away.

That is something with which I will definitely agree. I have not kill
filed Fussy but I have put several of his attackers in the bin. I am
reserving judgemental on Fussy for the moment.

Something strange here, biff mullins and dszady reply 2 or 3 times in a
row, probably doesn't seem weird to them, but it certainly does paint a
revealing portrait when you look at the larger pattern of their posts.

Guess it is time for me to learn how to use the filter with Mozilla 1.7

Rather than reserve judgment why not try the software mentioned

The software mentioned is not in my interest group at this time. I am
more concerned with the waste of time and bandwidth by those attacking
Fussy than with Fussy himself. I may KF Fussy at some later date, his
attackers have already been eliminated although they are still using
unnecessary bandwidth. Just because I don't see them does not mean
they are not a nuisance.

True. We don't really know whether Fussy is a troll who has gone to a
lot of trouble or a poor, misguided fool. However, if it walks like a
duck, quacks like a duck... I can't think of any good reason *not* to
killfile Fussy. He adds nothing to the group. I've had a look at his
software and it's of no benefit to anyone. If it can be shown - and
it's difficult - that Fussy's posts are off-topic and designed only to
elicit an enraged response, i.e. trolling, then that's what the abuse
addresses exist for. Personally, I think that universally ignoring
him is the only way to make him go away.


The trouble with the Fussy-baiters is that they subscribe to the
wholly fallacious view that the way to deal with trolls is to feed
them, despite the thousands of times that's been proved wrong in the
history of usenet. Mind-boggling stupidity must run its course, it
seems. That said, at least one of them, the //ullins persona, is much
more of a troll than Fussy.
