Functions for .ppt 2007 vs. 2003

I am trying to edit a Powerpoint presentation that was created with 2007
using my version of 2003. I had the creator save this presentation as a 2003
document, but am afraid that the 3D function I am trying to replicate on
additional slides is not available in my version of 2003. Is there a way to
obtain this functionality so that I can make this presentation have a
consistent look and feel?

You must save the file as a 2007-format file and then add the 3D settings
you want.

When you save the file as 2003 format after that, the object will become an
uneditable image in 2003, but will be editable again in 2007.

Of course, this all must be done in 2007; there's not really anything you
can do in 2003. You might check the 3D settings on the drawing toolbar, but
they are not nearly as sophisticated as those in 2007.

Thank you for confirming what I thought was the case. While waiting for your
response I decided not to work with the file in the 2003 saved format and
instead use the 2007 format (which because I have the 2007 extender pack
installed I was able to do). Anyhow, I didn't get all the functionality I
needed, but as a work around I was able to copy some of the 3D images that
already existed in the presentation and leverage them across the presentation
without the need to upgrade to 2007.
