Grayscale printing in PPT 2007

I have a presentation that was created using PowerPoint 2003, wiith slides
consisting of text and graphics. This presentation prints very nicely in
grayscale mode in PPT 2003. When I open the same presenation using
PowerPoint 2007, and print it in grayscale mode, the result looks very
different. For example, some slides have a black box containing white text
with the grayscale property set to "Inverse Grayscale", printing a light
gray box with black text in PPT 2003. This is not the case with PPT 2007,
which displays a gray box with WHITE text.

How do I get PPT 2007 to behave the same way as PPT 2003?

I think you're probably going to have to go through the presentation and
change many of the B/W settings. As far as I'm concerned, the handling of
black-and-white in 2007 in general is just not up-to-snuff.

Sorry. Don't shoot the messenger.
