Function keys not working

I have recently installed Windows 2000 and find that the
function keys are not working in 2 applications that I
regularly use. Any ideas as to how I can fix this - they
are quite handy.

Before turning the spotlight on Win2000, you need to ascertain
whether your function keys work at all. Reboot your machine
and press F8 during the early boot phase. Do you get the Win2000
boot selector menu?

Also: Do you have one of these new keyboards with lots of extra
keys, where you need to press a special button before the function
keys work? If you do then I recommend you try a standard 101-key
keyboard during your tests.

Thanks, I I'll try the reboot and let you know (can't at the moment as it is the server. My keyboard is one of those flash ones, but it did work before the upgrade. I'll try reloading that too and let you know
