function keys and dos program

i have installed a dos program on a windows xp pro system
and the function keys will not work especially f1
the keyboard does not have a 'f lock' key like most
(i have used this on other xp pro computers with a f lock
key with no problem)

Well the main problem is that the program is DOS. Windows XP needs a
DOS emulator to run these programs. That means that the emulator must
work with your keyboard. Try DOSbox ;)
