function IF / how to input pictures into this functions /

I know the format of IF function, however it is nicer after testing when
there is a picture showing as traffic light if it is allowed or not allowed
to enter some numbers more ...

pls help me if you can

however, an "easier" solution might be to format the background colour of
the cell to red or green or whatever using conditional formatting,... say
you have the following IF in C1
=IF(A1>B1,"yes","no")
and you want green for yes and red for no
click in cell C1 choose
format / conditional formatting
choose cell value is
type
yes
click on the format button - go to patterns choose a green
OK
click ADD
cell value is
type
no
click on format, go to patterns choose red
OK twice

however, if you just want the colour without words
delete the formula from C1
click in C1
choose format / conditional formatting
choose
formula is
type
=$A$1>$B$1
click on format, go to patterns choose green OK
click on ADD
choose
formula
is
type
=$A$1<=$B$1
etc

it´s really sunny day here and neverthelles I ski with my family this winter
is little bit longer as should be.
BTW can I disturb you with any questions or comments of excel ? I need
somebody better as I am and I found some questions not being answered till
now to me.
Perhaps you know, Slovakia is in Central Europe - and I am in second largest
city in Slovakia - Kosice (Eastern Slovakia)

you are most welcome to email questions to me direct (via email - julied_ng
at hcts dot net dot au), however, this may not be to your advantage. There
are many in these groups who are much more knowledgeable in excel than
myself and asking me questions directly may mean that you miss out on the
best answers, additionally, i can't always answer questions right-away and
therefore you might have to wait longer to get a response from me than if
you had posted to the group.

if posted questions don't get answered it can be due to one of the following
reasons - a) the question not being understood - however, normally someone
will post a note to say that the question is not understood and ask for more
/ better details; b) the question being somehow posted under an existing
thread ... in which case it may simply be over looked; c) the question being
posted and then the poster following up with additional details on the
question, which make it look to us that someone has answered the question;
d) no one having a good idea for a solution to the question - which does
happen.

Sooo, if you have posted a question and within a couple of days (give it 2
or 3 days ) have not received any replies, reposting the question maybe
using different words will often help.

btw it's 8.15pm here ....

my problem. Perhaps you or somebody from your friends can help me.
I´m novice in Excel and being glad to automatize some problems to be done
daily.

coming back at home I checked if you answered and being glad I found
something. I´m gonna look into excel attached file and to learn how you have
solved it. Thanks once more.
