Fully automated upgrade from W2K Pro

Hi,
got 150 W2k machines in our net, want to UPGRADE all to WinXPPro, fully
automated, NO user actions needed. (Every machine is WinXP compatible.)
Starting upgrade is easy, but it always asks for product key whatever I try.
(Installing automated fresh is very easy, but UPGRADE?)

How do I make an UPGRADE fully automated? What commands or unattend.txt file
or whatever do I need??? Cannot find anything about this in the docs or at
MS.

You cannot use RIS or Sysprep to upgrade an operating system.
The only automated installation method you can use to perform
upgrades is an unattended installation using Winnt32.exe.

Yes, I know that, but using winnt32.exe always asks me for the product ID
whatever I try, how do I get around that?

Yes, I'm using VLM. But again:
I'm UPGRADING! Everything I find about upgrading is to use winnt32.exe, and
the automated parameter then is /unattend.
BUT: The problem is that you cannot use an answer file for upgrading,
because if you do, you're not preserving the original settings.
An incomplete answer file, ie. with only the product ID, will stop the inst.
asking you for more info.
And without an answer file at all, the process asks for the product ID.
