I have the beta Windows Media Player 10 installed and it works great and I
allready have directx9c installed .The xp2 upgrade only has wmp 9 and
directx9b .Does the full network install have the option to bypass these
updates and keep the newer ones or just rolls back everything to older
versions ?

SP2 has Direct X 9c. It will though probably remove a beta version of
WMP in favor of the released version.

Installed SP2 this morning and just checked WMP 10 beta. Aside from the EULA
coming up again, 10 beta appears entirely intact.
