A lot but not all of my screens are opening in reduced
size. One tech suggested holding down the shift key while
clicking on the 'X' to close the frame, then reopen. This
doesn't work for me. How can I make them always open in
the normal full screen size?

Hold down ctrl and Shift at the same time while doing the above.

You need to hold down ctrl key with Shift at the same time to do this.

Hi Gary,

Many programs can be caused to open in maximized window by r-clicking the
shortcut and choosing properties. There is a choice in the "Run" dropdown
menu to open in normal, minimized or maximized window.

Gary, forget about holding any keys down, just stretch the screen to the
size you want with your mouse and the click File and then Close. Now when
you click on that shortcut the window will open to the size you stretched it
to. This works for OE, IE and Windows Explorer.
