Full Screen Mode

I have an old (ancient) game which I am very fond of playing. It is so small,
It does not need to be installed on the hard drive. The problem is that when
I try to play the game, Windows Vista sends a message box saying that because
it plays in full screen mode, it will not work with Windows Vista. Is there
any fix or work around that I can employ to play the game? I am using Windows
Vista Home Premium.

If by old (ancient) that means it is a 16-bit/DOS game, Vista can't run
full screen 16-bit/DOS programs. You may be able to get it to run in a
virtual machine or DOS emulation environment, like DOSBox.
