Unfortunely, many FTP servers can both shareware, freeware & demos of
commerical software. I really haven't seen an FTP server which is
totally devoted to freeware software only.

I was afraid to get that answer. I'm looking for a long time, but
didn't find any FREEWARE FTPservers.

There's a lot of servers and mirrors with open source software (Linux &
BSD distros, related software etc). Apart from that, I haven't really
seen FTP being extensively used for free software in some years.
