Hello,
working on windows xp, SP2.
I am trying to connect with FTP to my computer at home (running XP, SP2).

Before installation of SP2, I could easily connect to my home computer with
the normal windows explorer (just by typing FTP://mysite/ in the URL)
If I do the same now, I receive the following error message :

"An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have
permission to access that folder. Details: the operation timed out."

I receive this message with Firewall on AND off.
From another workstation (running XP, SP1) I still can connect to my
FTP-server without any problem.

Is this an issue of XP SP2? Or is it some setting somewhere?

any help is appreciated!

regards,

bart

It goes without saying...

If you are trying to connect to your own FTP using passive mode, you must
also setup the FTP Server such that it can accept passive mode...
