FSX Color scheme change

I am running 2Gs Corsair Mem./5200 X2 AMD.When I open FSX, the color scheme
changes to Basic. In "help",it states that either the program(FSX), is
incompatible or there is not enough memory. As I understand memory, anything
OVER 2 Gigs in 32 bit, gives very little gain! (POSSIBLY 25%). Is it FSX that
is incompatible?

FSX is not compatible with Aero, which is why the switch to Basic occurs.
Some day, everyone at MS will get on the same page.

Thank you for the quick response and the clarification.MS sure does tease us.

A Microsoft MVP (Richard Urban) wrote in another forum that FSX was designed
to disable Aero which then releases the extensive video resourses Aero uses
when running. This helps a very video resource-hungry FSX run better. I'm
not a member of the ACES FSX team but the explanation sounds more reasonable
than they just missed making FSX compatible with Aero.
