FSMO ROLES

Hi all,

Following a server crash on one of my domain controller where all FSMO roles
were located, I was obliged to delete all entries for this server with
ADSIEdit before reinstalling it.
Today I want to update my AD to 2003 and I have an error message saying that
the server where Shema and Domain are stored is unavailable.
The setup looks for the server I have deleted.
Is there a way to move these roles to an existing Domain Controller knowing
that the server where the role should be stored doesn't exist anymore.

Here's some links that discuss the roles and moving and seizing these roles.
In your case, now that the original role holder is long gone, you need to
seize:
