FS2002 and Sidewinder FF 2 throttle problem

The throttle action is recognized properly in the
Sidewinder setup and test routines. However, the
throttle control isn't recognized by Flight Simulator
2002. All other functions of the stick are recognized.
HELP PLEASE.

Flight Simulator: Troubleshooting Joystick Problems (Part 1)

SYMPTOMS
When you run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 or Flight Simulator 2004, you may
experience one or more of the following symptoms:

The joystick behaves erratically.
The joystick does not respond.
The rudder or throttle does not respond.
