Frustrations...

I'm using XP Home edition. My wife was logged in and the
Antispyware warned about a change to IE's homepage. I
accepted this and carried on. When I later booted up and
logged on as myself, I get a pointless message informing me
that this previous change was successful. Worse still,
there's no way of closing the dialog. The only way was to
click on the help below, that frustrated me even more
because it decided to connect me to the internet to display
the help - why? Only on stopping all these windows popping
up did the damn message go away.

Can you please have a proper mechanism for closing the
messages.

In addition to this, how about some settings so users can
choose whether to see certain types of message (e.g.
display messages about severe-classed spyware trying to
install, but don't display information messages).

Oh yes, also on this restart, a useless, incomplete dialog
popped up. Looked like it was the application attempting
to start up. I'm guessing this because the window title
was gcSomethingOrOther, and had no content or information
as to what it was.

I know this is in beta, but please, this is unacceptable!

FWIW--this appearance has also been reported by others--it doesn't show for
everyone--I've only seen it in pictures posted here, for example--definitely
not intentional--a bug.

Thanks for reporting your observations--Microsoft does read the feedback in
these groups and it is being used to improve the final released product.
