FrontPage video compatibility

I've used FP to embed WMV video onto my site and it plays great - unless I
use FireFox or Opera! Is there a way to make this plug in compatible with
other browsers?

I believe the plug-in uses ActiveX which Firefox does not support.

I had a feeling it was something like that - now I'm wondering why I would
use a program for web development that purposefully locks out a large, and
growing number of people. seems this is true for other functions in FP too!

Yes and no. It is recommended that you set the compatibility in your options
based on your desired audience. FrontPage will automatically turn off the
features that are not compatible with your settings.

In many corporate environments, IE is the only browser in use so lots of
this functionality works well - a good example are the office integrations.
It really depends on who your audience is.
