Frontpage tries to reinstall itself when opening a PDF file

I am a longtime Frontpage 98 user and recently upgraded my computer and at
the same time purchased Frontpage 2003.

After successfully installing the program everytime I try to open a PDF file
Frontpage tries to reinstall itself. It asks for the installation disc
multiple times and gives error messages until I can cancel out of the process.

Eventually Adobe opens the file and I can see the image.

Why is Frontpage doing this?

I've checked all the normal stuff (the file default for .pdf is set to
adobe) and I tried "repairing" Frontpage. Are there some stray installationm
files lurking about that are being triggered somewhow?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have you tried giving it the CD when it asks for it and let it do what it
needs to do?

Kathleen: I have this same problem, and my Frontpage2003 came from a fully
legal licensed CD from a large package of Microsoft developer software that
we own. Contains about 30 CDs, this is one of them.

When I put that CD in, it still can't find what it looking for.

I would love to cure this very inconvenient problem. Thx
