FrontPage should allow color-coding of folders in navigation view.

For people with many web pages, the navigation view would be so much more
useful if the folder icons could be color coded. This would allow easier
organization.

The "folders" in Nav view are not folders - they are pages

err... there are no folders in Navigation View. The boxes are pages, and
are colour coded:

Yellow - the page is included in link bars
Grey - the page is excluded from Link bars

How would you colour-code them?

Yes, the icons represent pages. But if the user could color them (for
example, red for those that need to be frequently updated, green for those
that share a certain theme), navigation would be so much easier.

My job would be MUCH easier if I could color code the boxes when in
navigation view. For example, "red" for those boxes that I must update
frequently. "Blue" for those boxes that relate to one organization, "Green"
for those boxes that relate to a different organization.

This may not be important for those who have homogeneous groupings. But for
those of us who have dozens of boxes representing several different
organizations, the ability to color would greatly simplify navigation.

I would suggest crayons (-;
Or
- organize your folder structure
- use the FP report views and apply comments in file properties

You can send your suggestion to Microsoft from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=114491

Some work-arounds:

Use subwebs to separate different organisations - each subweb would have its
own navigation.

Use folders to organise the pages in each subweb - Frequently updated pages
in one folder, never updated in another etc. Use the folder list to choose
the pages for editing.
