Frontpage Server Extenstions

R

Richard

I'm getting a "_derived/nortbots.htm" when I use a search
form created with Front Page 2003 then pulished to a
remote site that has the correct extenstions installed.

My reseach thus far tells me this is occuring because the
site was created on a machine that did not have the
exstentions installed on the local.

Yet when I go to install or download Frontpage 2002
Extensions they are no where to found, Help.

Not true. You can create a form on a disk based web without extensions. you will see the text in
the page, and also get a warning about email when you save it.

However, when you publish to a "properly" extended server the form will function.
Also however, you *must* publish using http:// if you use ftp:// you will not publish all of the
required files.

What Windows version are you using??? To use extensions you ***must*** have the Professional
version of XP or 2000, and you **must** have IIS installed on the machine.
